General notes:
Believed to be the 1st electrically operated bridge in Britain along with Hayhurst Bridge.

The Weaver Navigation Trust papers include drawing No 1515 sheet No.2 showing extra diagonals to be added for strengthening. The drawing is signed 'JA Saner' and annotated 'approved CCC 7th March !924'. (The Waterways Archive, Gloucester Cat Ref No. BW132/7/2/3/1)

The number reference in the bridge name refers to the sequence of locations of movable bridges on the Weaver Navigation, starting from Weston Point.
