Build Information:
Technical Information:
Visited by: John and Norma Corbridge,
Present Condition: Unknown
General notes:
Found on 1848 OS map.

John and Norma tell me that this bridge carried the towpath over the entrance to Barton Moss Canal - a 3/4 mile brnach that was originally intended to link up with the River Irwell via the Salteye Brook. This link was never completed, and the branch was used mainly to carry waste onto the mosses for dumping.
